By the Lake

Sitting and waiting
oh rod do give me a sign
calm waves bore me now.
Reflecting sunshine
seems like season is turning
way too quick for me.
Wintry winds howl still
it's tomorrow or today?
Feels the same, anyways.
Unexpectedly
rod twitches with fervor fast
could be- catch at last?
Fight is soon over
a pike shakes, asphyxiates,
on land next to me.
Watery eyes watch
as iron hook is clipped out
leaving her to bleed.
It made few small holes
her tongue, chin cruelly piereced
got caught up as well.
Shaking still struggles
while birds chirp cheering arias
I reach out for her.
After a sec I
throw her back as worthless trash
watching the wild waves.
What a day that was,
can't wait to do it again.
Shame I don't eat fish.
