Muqadas Kamran

Pakistan

Took everything our home gave to us
To construct everything that deconstructs it
For today, for centuries to never come

Need and lust for all there could be
For all we could to gratify our days
For lifelong peace to shorten our days

All we sought belongs to us
All the pleasures and the ease
With a cost hard to pay

All the wisdom we imbued
Allowed the toxins to flow through
Suffocates us transparent blue

To let go, to pile down
To choose suffering to survive tomorrow
We choose to choose none of that

Closed eyes, blind intoxicating lights
My today's forever been precious than their tomorrow
As long as we'd survive

Muqadas Kamran belongs to a small town (whatever is considered small town in Pakistan) in Pakistan, She is of age 20, turning 21 this year. She has been doing poetry for almost 8 years today. She hopes the experience has started to show for itself.
